The staff were always helpful and friendly and the hotel gave an air of refinement and efficiency.
The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. The breakfast and lounge rooms were very modern and welcoming
I could not believe that the rooms above the 1st floor/ reception were of so poor quality. (e.g. room 145) . The toilet was making an awful noise, the airconditioning was noisy, the blanket had a burn-hole and the balcony was totally rotten... Avoid rooms above the reception. Unacceptable for 4 stars hotels.
the friendliness of the staff - even at very late night hours.
- the rooms could have been slightly cleaner. moreover, the rooms (at least the two I saw...) were in need of renovation. but, still, it is a luxury hotel, no doubt about it.
Very good service all round, helpful staff. Easy location to Patra, ferries etc. Excellent meal in the restaurant and snack in the bar. Also smoker friendly with a distinct smoking area for the bar.
Exterior of hotel needs tidying up, and rooms are a little out dated.
The location of the hotel is nice, by the sea and with nice view of the bridge. The lobby areas are renovated and the breakfast was more than satisfactory.
The rest of the hotel (apart from the lobby) has been left back in the 70s. The rooms need renovation. Small crt tv, smelling carpet on the floor. Totally unacceptable the rust at the room's balcony. Definitely not a 4 star hotel and clearly over-priced.
Nothing. Staff was rude, hotel is old, all is Brocken, we will never return there nor advise It for our friends. They did nt change our mini Bar during whole our stay 5 days. Awfully High prices for food, food is uneatable.
Nothing wad good about the hotel. Staff was rude, hotel is old, all is Brocken, we will never return there nor advise It for our friends. They did nt change our mini Bar during whole our stay for 5 days. Awfully High prices for food, food is uneatable. there was a smell of gasoline From our balcony. 2 weddings took place in the Hotel. It was impossible to sleep there. Loud Music - staff did not even appologize for that. And so on. We are very experienced travellers. This is a non sense Hotel!!!
The breakfast and the service at breakfast were super
no coffee making facilities in room, rooms need upgrading as everything looked old fashioned
Good stuff, beautiful view, tasty coctails
The hotel need to repair the rooms
The casino was average to good
Rooms need renovation.
Hotel rooms are very old and falling apart. It Stinks of smoke. The photos on website of hotel are fake. Had booked a bangalow and was given room in main building facing in the bqck as an upgrade because as I understood the bangalows are not really operated any more.
The casino located in the ground floor
Definately not a 4 star Hotel. Excellent lobby area, dissapointing facilities.
Breakfast ok, large and clean rooms, nice pool, nice beach, great view
High prices at the pool bar, a coffee -5 euros!!!! Overpriced
There is nothing to like.
I did not like the prices the noise, the service etc.
The only thing that one can like is location.
The are many things not to like. The prices are extremely high, for a coffee 4.00 euro, for a Coke 250ml 3.50 euro. One could pay less at Luxury resorts. The words relaxation and respect to clients are unknown to the management of the Porto Rio Hotel since they focus their efforts and resources to the casino, Political events, weddings and many other things that will make you loose sleep, your parking space and the moments of relaxation. Try to avoid this Hotel.
